Report reaching us from the Defence Headquaters in Abuja has reveal that another 1000 combatant soldiers have been deployed to border areas of Adamawa state. This is to ensure the full reinforcement of the Nigerian soldier in its crackdown bid against the Boko Haram sect in Nigeria's troubled North-East region.

Defence Headquarters says 14 Boko Haram insurgents killed in ongoing operations

The Defence Headquarters on Sunday confirmed that 14 Boko Haram terrorists had been killed in the ongoing military operations in the Northern part of the country.

A statement by Brig-Gen. Chris Olukolade, Director of Defence Information said that three soldiers died and seven who sustained injuries were being treated in a military medical facility.

The statement, which did not disclose the location of the latest assault between the military and the insurgents, said one soldier was still missing.
