FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: USA ends Nigeria's Title Ambition

USA have won their way into a third FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup final with a 2-0 victory over 2010 finalists Nigeria in Tokyo. Goals midway through either half from Morgan Brian and Kealia Ohaiproved enough for the two-time champions to see off the hitherto unbeaten Africans, and set up a decider against either holders Germany or hosts Japan.

Mexico upsets Brazil to win 1st gold in football

It was a great upset for the brazilian national team as Mexico won the London 2012 olympic Men football final match with two goals to one. Oribe Peralta struck from the 18-yard box after 32 seconds following some poor Brazilian defending making it the fastest goal in any olympic football final. Fabian Marco hit the Brazil crossbar before a completely unmarked Peralta headed his team's second goal. Brazil, also hoping to win gold for the first time, pulled a goal back through Hulk in injury-time, before Oscar headed wide.

Bolt clinches 100m gold medal in new olympic record

HE is the fastest man ever and he is again the fastest man in the world. It took the second fastest race of all time, but Usain Bolt has won the 100 metres final, beating countryman and world champion Yohan Blake. Bolt won in a time of 9.63s, with Blake almost a metre behind on the line in 9.75s and American Justin Gatlin in third with 9.79s.

Nigerian Football player dies of cadiac arrest on the pitch.

Henry Chinonso Ihelewere, a Nigerian footballer has died after suffering a cardiac arrest during a friendly match between Romanian second division teams CS Delta Tulcea and FC Balotesti on Sunday, local media said.
