Report reaching us from the Defence Headquaters in Abuja has reveal that another 1000 combatant soldiers have been deployed to border areas of Adamawa state. This is to ensure the full reinforcement of the Nigerian soldier in its crackdown bid against the Boko Haram sect in Nigeria's
troubled North-East region.
A senior military officer told SaharaReporters in Abuja that the soldiers had started arriving at their destinations within the state. The officer who didn't want to be quoted said 150 soldiers yesterday flew into Adamawa on a military aircraft, and the rest of the deployment will continue today. He also said that there is not so many gun fights recorded in Adamawa areas with Boko Haram militants unlike in Borno and Yobe states.
