Cynthia's corpse may be released on Monday

Cynthia Osokogu's family members may have to wait until next week for her corpse to be released to them, as the autopsy being conducted on the deceased may be concluded by Monday. A source at the Lagos State Police Command, in a phone conversation earlier today, disclosed that the postmortem examination on the murdered girl,should be concluded by September 10. Cynthia's burial, earlier scheduled for today , September 8, was delayed by the autopsy which wasnot concluded on time. "The process may however, be concluded by Monday," said the source who did not want to be named. The source added that Cynthia's body would have to be handed over to the police for onward transfer to the late girl's family by the state police command. The 24-year-old English graduate was murdered on July 22, 2012 after the suspects allegedly drugged and raped her.
