Suicide Bomber Kills Emir's orderly In Potiskum

A suicide bomber attacked the Central Mosque in Potiskum during Friday prayers killing the orderly of the Emir of Fika, Dr. Muhammadu Idrissa. The suicide bomber and the emir's police orderly died immediately. The bomber had targetted the Emir directly by the orderly reportedly blocked him from the reaching the Emir and died in the course of his doing so. The attacks on traditional rulers in the north marks a shift in the strategy employed by Islamist militant group Boko Haram, whichhad vowed to attack christians, government officials, security agents and traditional rulers it suspects of collaborating with the army and police in hunting down its members.
